Done with Dominance

Done with Dominance is a political education project
that explores how dominant behaviors in groups can be
recognized, reflected upon, and transformed.

The care set is a tool for self-reflection on domiant
behaviours. The aim is to visualise patterns of action
that often unconsciously lead to certain voices
dominating - and thus to make spaces fairer, safer and
more open for everyone.

Done with Dominance Card Set

How it started:

It started by a group of activists who witnessed how dominant behaviors—especially from white, cis-male people—caused FLINTA* and other marginalized people to withdraw from groups.
They realised that there was not only a lack of language, but also a lack of common understanding about oppression - and a lack of tools to learn in solidarity. This need gave rise to Done with Dominance as a learning and reflection project.

How its going:

Since its first release in German at the end of 2022, our project has received an overwhelming
response. The card set is now used in a wide range of contexts: Schools, churches, universities, Scout groups, awareness training, Activist groups, organisations, Conferences, kindergartens.
